Fhadiana Fletcher shares very little in common with the rest of the people Lizbeth invited to live with her. A brilliant and curious individual, Fhadiana will be the first to tell you that there is absolutely nothing special about her at all. What Liz would then point out is that Fhadiana happens to be owner of a very powerful, very destructive magic Tome. This tome, given to her by her headmaster during her years at boarding school, is a complete enigma. At times, it appears sentient, protecting Fhadiana with lethal results. Other times, it simply seems like an old book with blank pages. Either way, Fhadiana take it with her everywhere.
Since acquiring her semi-permanent fashion accessory, Fhadiana has been learning more about magic, particularly the more destructive aspects of it. She's recently developed a close more-than-friendship with Miranda, who's been astonished at how quickly the little wizard has been able to pick up on some of the more complex magical incantations. Despite her insistence to the contrary, Fhadiana is proving herself a magical savant.

Fhadiana is a brilliant student of the Arcane. As such, she will be able to scribe new spells into the Tome over time, even creating her own her own once she is able.

The Tome registers as a M1 at rest, or a M3 to an M12, depending on the situation Fhadiana finds herself in. However, it's rated based on the most powerful spell it has been known to cast, which is:
M20: instant vaporization of 3 to 5 magic users ratedP8Aor above.
It is believed that the Tome might actually be capable of even more powerful magic, making them give it the S marking, since they don't truly know or understand how it works.

Note: While Tome is in use, Fhadiana registers as a P20A, otherwise reads as her natural P8L.
Fhadiana's Tome contains massive amounts of power, which it unleashes in a multitude of ways. Initially this is done outside of Fhadiana's direct control, though the Tome works through her, channeling her energy to cast. This has a draining effect on Fhadiana; the more powerful the spell, the more exhausted she will be in the aftermath.
Over time, Fhadiana will be able to control the Tome, and even will it to cast specific spells, and its utility will expand from mere vaporization, explosions and disintegration to more varied magics.
Here is an overview of some of the things Fhadiana and the Tome can do:

- Conjuration - Walls, shields, etc. made from neutral, dark or elemental energy. Usually neutral.
- Conjuration - Constructs or golems, pulled together from surrounding material, imbued with neutral energy.
- Dark Regeneration - The primary way the Tome will revive Fhadiana if she is seriously injured, essentially stitching her back together with shadow, leaving a permanent scar.

¶ Miranda Collins
Miranda walked into Fha's bookshop one day. Most of Fha's customers either ordered over the phone, online, or came in knowing what they were looking for. Mir, instead, just "wanted to look around". She thought the place looked really cool, and loved old books, so thought it was worth checking out. Fha was over the moon and the two started talking and getting along well.
From there, Miranda would stop by the shop every few days. She'd occasionally buy a book or two; it wasn't until she bought a very old spellbook for a ridiculous price that Fha learned she could do magic, too. The two of them talked about the spells in the book, and Mir even helped Fha with some of the arcane syntax that had been elluding her. Fha had never met someone who not only could keep up with her, but could, sometimes, surpass her in magical knowledge.
Thw two continued on as friends until one night when Mir had convinced Fha to watch a movie with her. They were in Mir's apartment, laughing and joking about a stupid part of the movie, and suddenly, Fha realized she'd been leaning on Mir, and Mir realized just how close Fha's face was. Before either realized what was happening, Mir leaned in for a kiss, and Fha didn't try to stop her, only freaking out after the kiss.
Since then, the two of them have been trying to figure out how to navigate these new waters. Fha not only has never had a relationship, but she's rather adamant about being straight. Miranda feels the same, but is more willing to accept, 'well, ok, in this one case, I'm not'. But neither of them is quite willing to just give in and accept things for how they are.
Lately, they've been going on dates regularly, and kiss not infrequently. Fha has even instigated some kissing once or twice. But they shy away from labels and they have yet to go beyond basic kissing and cuddling. Fha knows Mir is frustrated, but Fha also can't bring herself to cross some lines.
They know they love each other; neither one is in doubt of that. Fhadiana will even fully admit she's "in love with" Miranda. She just doesn't know what to do with that.
¶ Lizbeth Locke
Lizbeth was initially contracted to acquire Fhadiana's Tome. She took the job, noting that the item read as an M1, and Fhadiana was a latent, and a weak one at that. In the attempt, however, Lizbeth was vaporized by the Tome. She returned a few weeks later, much to Fhadiana's shear terror. Liz informed her that she'd canceled the contract, and extended an offer to put Fhadiana under her protection. After a few more attempts by others to acquire the Tome, Fha agreed.
Ten years later, the two have become very good friends. Their friendship isn't very obvious to others, because neither of them is inclined to broadcast it. Liz would rather the people around her assume her intentions towards Fhadiana were nefarious or lecherous. Fhadiana, on the other hand, struggles with social situations in general and is much more comfortable expressing affection to others in a private setting.
